I had a blast speaking to the Women’s Exchange in Winnetka on Thursday. I was a bit bleary-eyed from a late flight the night before, but they didn’t seem to mind. And a couple of the attendees even told me about some peaceful places I’d never heard of. Once I’ve checked them out, maybe they’ll show up as a post here.
Confidential to my Chicago author and speaker friends: If you have a topic that this group might find of interest, why not ask them if they’d be up for having you speak? You’ll get paid (not a lot, but the thought counts), it’s a fun experience, and perhaps you’ll sell some books (I did).
